The City

Built by Saxons, at the end of the Carpathians.

Brașov was built from the 13th century by Saxon settlers, who gave it its German name: Kronstadt.

Their discipline as builders still shows in the old town — ordered frontages, steep roofs, stone arcades.

Piața Sfatului, the Black Church, Tâmpa and its cable car and, higher up, Poiana Brașov. People live here all year and come here on holiday — which is why eight residences mean something different here than an apartment block would.
